Food Insecurities

Do you or your family members worry about not having enough food or the money to buy more? You’re not alone with these concerns and there are resources to help. The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) defines food insecurity as limited access to consistent food for all members of a household to live a healthy life. Food insecurity can have long-term negative effects on adults and children, considering such things as physical health, mental health and child development.

People living in food-insecure households are at risk for poor sleep quality, anxiety, depression, back problems, poor oral health, injury, chronic pain, obesity, and chronic disease.
